Custom Club Cycling Jackets and Gilets Made From Your Jersey's Signed Proof

Custom club cycling jackets and gilets, produced from the same signed layout proof and the same team file as your jerseys, in men's and women's patterns from XS to 3XL.

Our outer layers are ordered by club kit secretaries adding gilets and jackets before autumn, corporate cycling programme organisers, college team captains and kit coordinators for leagues and multi-club groups.

Order them in the same window as your jerseys, or add them for the whole club in an autumn ordering window.

Every outer piece is made to a dated colour reference in your team file: one for its sublimated body and, on a jacket with an embroidered crest, one for the thread colours.
Your main sponsor takes the same named zones on the gilet and jacket as on the jersey, and you see it drawn over the jersey before you sign. We supply teams across the United States, Europe and Australia.
Send your team size, organisation type and design confirmation. Within 48 hours you get an ordering plan with the ordering process that fits your team and the expected delivery schedule for your outer layers.
  • Men's and women's patterns, XS to 3XL
  • A dated colour reference for each decoration method
  • Main sponsor checked on each piece's own XS
  • 5 checks on every gilet and jacket before bagging

Club Gilet and Club Jacket: Men's and Women's Cuts on One Layout Proof

Both pieces are drawn on your team's signed layout proof, next to the jersey. The body of each piece is printed in full sublimation, the zones carry the same names as on the jersey, and your crest and sponsors keep their tier order across all three garments.

The same four programme roles that run your jersey order sign each step for the outer layers:

  • Kit Layout Designer

The Kit Layout Designer draws them on your proof.
  • Order Desk

The Order Desk locks their sizes.
  • Packing Lead

The Packing Lead checks every piece before bagging.
  • Programme Coordinator

Your Programme Coordinator sets the window dates.

We make two outer pieces for team kits:

  • Club gilet.

    Sleeveless, in a men's cut and a women's cut.
  • Club jacket.

Long sleeve, in a men's cut and a women's cut.
Each cut is made on its own men's or women's pattern, in sizes XS to 3XL. Riders size their gilet and jacket from the same body size chart and the same chest-based rule as their jersey, set out on our club fit cycling jersey sizing page.
Your team can order a gilet, a jacket or both, for every rider or for the riders who want them, in the same window as the jerseys or in a later window from the same team file.

One Colour Reference for Each Decoration Method on Every Gilet and Jacket

Gilets and jackets are printed in full sublimation from the same signed layout proof as your jersey. On the jacket, the crest on the front chest can be sublimated with the body or done in computer embroidery.

The Kit Layout Designer builds a colour reference for each piece from the colour parameters in your team file, one for each decoration method that piece uses:
The Designer dates each reference and saves it to your team file. On the combined kit view, the jacket's two references are listed side by side with their dates, next to the jersey and gilet references, and your team manager signs that page with the proof.
combined kit view
The thread colour version is signed with the same proof as every printed colour on the kit.
  • A team cycling jacket added in autumn is made from the colour parameters your jerseys were printed to in spring. The Designer takes them from your team file, builds the jacket's colour references, and adds the jacket to the combined kit view as a new dated version for your team manager to co-sign.
The earlier version stays on file.
  • Next season, every outer piece is reordered to the same colour reference versions, so a gilet bought by a new member is made to the references of the gilets already in the club.
  • A team manager photographing the club's current jersey from another supplier next to a laptop with its design files
If your current jersey was made by another supplier, the Kit Layout Designer takes colours and layout from its original design files or photos, sets up your team file and draws the combined kit view.
Once your team manager signs, your outer layers are produced to our colour reference versions.
Your crest and sponsor logos still come to us as vector files, as set out on our team kit design service page.

To check any piece, open the combined kit view in your copy of the signed proof. Each piece lists the reference version it is made to, with the date the Designer saved it.

Custom Club Gilet Options: Panels, Zip, Rear Pockets and Hem

Your custom club gilet is built from a short list of options, chosen when your layout proof is drawn:

Cuts: men's and women's, sleeveless, XS to 3XL.

Front and back panels

windproof front + mesh back, or windproof front and back.

Front zip

full-length zip, or two-way full-length zip.

Rear pockets

no rear pocket, or 3 rear pockets.

Hem

silicone gripper band.

  • The proof draws the gilet with the options your team picks.
  • A gilet with 3 rear pockets shows its pocket line, and the upper-back logos sit above it. A gilet with no rear pocket shows the back as one panel.
  • The zip line on the proof is the zip your riders will close.

Reflectives

reflective print or reflective strip, at the rear hem or across the lower back.

Your options are written on the signed proof and stay in your team file for reorders.

Custom Cycling Club Jacket Options: Collar, Rear Pockets, Cuffs and Reflectives

Your custom cycling club jacket is built from these options, chosen when your layout proof is drawn:

  • Front zip

    full-length zip.

  • Collar

    standard collar or high collar.

  • Rear pockets

3 rear pockets, or 3 rear pockets + 1 zip pocket, the same two choices as on the team jersey.

  • Cuffs

    elastic cuff.

  • Hem

    silicone gripper band.

  • Reflectives

reflective print or reflective strip, at the rear pocket opening, the rear hem or the cuffs.

  • Chest crest

sublimated with the body, or computer embroidered.

Cuts: men's and women's, long sleeve, XS to 3XL.
The jacket is drawn on the proof with its collar, pockets and reflective positions in place, so your committee sees the finished jacket before riders choose a size.
If you choose an embroidered crest, the proof shows it in place on the chest, and its thread colour reference is listed on the combined kit view.

Main Sponsor on Gilets and Jackets, Checked on Each Piece's XS

Gilets and jackets use the jersey's named zones:

  • Club gilet

front chest (left of the zip, right of the zip, or across the zip), upper back, side panels.
  • Club jacket

front chest, upper back, upper-arm sleeve panels, side panels.

Your main sponsor holds the front chest and upper back on both pieces, the same zones it holds on the jersey.

Before each proof version goes out, the Kit Layout Designer places every logo on the XS of the gilet and the XS of the jacket, men's and women's, and checks that it fits its zone at the printed width.
Each piece is checked on its own XS. The printed width for every logo on the gilet and on the jacket is written on the proof page for that piece.
A logo that does not fit is changed before the version is sent, and the change is noted in that version's list of changes.

The combined kit view draws your outer layers as your riders wear them:

  • The jersey alone.
  • The gilet zipped over the jersey.
  • The jacket zipped over the jersey.
Only the pieces your team ordered are drawn.
Each view shows where your main sponsor sits once an outer layer covers the jersey chest.
A main sponsor logo across the front zip of a gilet or jacket is printed as one artwork split at the zip line. With the zip closed, the two halves read as one logo.
A split logo that does not line up is treated as a difference from your signed proof, and we remake that piece.
  1. Your sponsors review through you.
  2. The proof PDF marks each sponsor's position and printed width zone by zone, on the gilet and jacket pages for every cut.
  3. You forward it, gather your sponsors' comments into one reply per round, and each new version comes back dated with the changes marked.
  4. How sponsors are ranked into tiers is covered on our sponsor logo placement page.

Rider Names and Numbers on the Upper Back, as an Option

Names and numbers on gilets and jackets are optional. Your team decides before the layout proof is signed, and the decision is written on the proof.

Where your team puts them on outer layers:

  • Positionupper back only.
  • NamesLatin letters, up to 12 characters including spaces.
  • Numbersup to 3 digits, under the number rules on your proof.
  • Font, colour and letter heightset on your signed proof.
Club riders at a clubhouse table entering their names and numbers for the team roster
Names and numbers are printed straight from your locked roster, line by line, in the same sublimation run as the rest of your team's order.
A rider's gilet carries the name and number on that rider's roster line, the same as on their jersey.

Ordering Outer Layers: Autumn Window, Selected Riders and a Size per Piece

Outer layers are ordered in one of two ways:

  • With the jerseys, in the same ordering window and the same production run.
  • In a later window. A club can run a pre-season main window for jerseys and add an autumn window in which the whole club orders jackets, gilets and warmers.

When outer layers are added in a later window:

  1. The pieces join your next ordering window.
  2. The Kit Layout Designer draws them from your team file with the same colour parameters.
  3. They are added to the combined kit view, saved as a new dated version, and your team manager co-signs it.
  4. The window opens on that signed version.
  • a rider listed for a piece with no size
  • a size entered for a piece not ordered for that rider
Illustrative roster
Your ordering plan states, piece by piece, which riders each one is made for and how many. The locked roster has one row per rider and a size column for each piece.
A rider ordering only a gilet has a size in the gilet column and an empty jacket cell.
Before locking, the Order Desk checks every cell for a rider listed for a piece with no size, and a size entered for a piece not ordered for that rider.
Every gilet and jacket size is checked against the rider's chest measurement on the men's or women's chart. Lines that need a second look go on a list to your team manager before the window closes, each with the rider, the reason, the measurements and that size's range.
You settle each line with your rider.
A rider who keeps their size has the line marked kept on team lead's confirmation.
A club committee member marking the main and autumn ordering windows on the clubhouse planning board
Members who join between windows register name, sizes and number through your roster link, and the Order Desk carries them into the autumn window to lock with the rest of the club.
Each roster line records the proof version its piece is made to, so an autumn jacket's line shows the version it was printed from.
Your Programme Coordinator writes each window's open, close and roster lock dates into your ordering plan. The lock date is worked back from the date your club needs the kit: 20–30 days of production, or 12–15 days on rush, with time for proof sign-off and size collection before it.

Send Your Proof and Outer-Layer Rider List

Send your current layout proof or design files, your crest and sponsor logos as vector files, and the names of the riders who want a gilet, a jacket or both. Your Programme Coordinator replies within 24 hours on working days.

A packing lead zipping a club jacket closed at the packing bench to check the chest block meets across the zip, a gilet and a rider bag beside it

Gilets and Jackets Checked on 5 Points, Then Bagged With the Jersey

Every gilet and jacket goes through the same 5 checks as a jersey before the Packing Lead puts it in a rider's bag:

  1. Cut and size label match the rider's cell for that piece on the locked roster.
  2. Name and number match the roster, where your team chose them for outer layers.
  3. Each logo sits in its named zone, at the position and width shown on that piece's page of the signed proof.
  4. A chest logo split by the zip reads as one logo once the zip is done up.
  5. The zip, the pockets and the gripper band all work.

A piece that fails is pulled and remade before bagging. If the remake would move your shipping date, your Programme Coordinator tells your team manager in writing.

Before any bag is packed, the Packing Lead lays one complete set from your run against the combined kit view, with a gilet and a jacket of each cut ordered, and checks that your main sponsor and crest sit where the view places them.
The result is the first line of your packing list.
The four points of that check are set out on our team cycling kit sets page.
Each rider gets one bag with every piece they ordered in that window: jersey, gilet and jacket together when they are ordered together, or the outer layers on their own in an autumn window.
The bag label shows the rider's name and the size of each piece, and the packing list has a line for each piece, ticked on the 5 checks and signed by the Packing Lead.
If a delivered gilet or jacket looks wrong, your team manager sends a photo and we reply within 24 hours on working days.
