We run team kit programmes for mountain bike clubs, XC race teams, and school and college teams, through their kit secretary, team manager, or coach or teacher.
Our mountain bike team jerseys print your colourway, sponsors, crest, names and numbers on men's and women's cuts, short or long sleeve, club fit or race fit, XS to 3XL, with gilets, jackets, warmers, caps and socks from the same layout. Each rider picks cut, fit and size on one roster, from the options you open.
Send your season dates, the cuts and fits you want to open, and your design or current kit. Within 48 hours of receiving team size, team type and design confirmation, you receive an ordering plan with your windows and the open, close and lock dates for each.
  • Cut and fit chosen line by line on one roster
  • A "measured over protection" tick on every rider's line
  • Returning riders sized against last season's locked measurements
  • Flagged sizes sent to your team lead before the lock

One Mountain Bike Team Season, From Ordering Plan to Team File

Every MTB team runs through the same season. The three set-ups below differ in what anchors each window, who signs, and how often riders are sized again.

  1. Ordering plan.

Your Programme Coordinator sets your windows, their open, close and lock dates, and the jersey cuts and fits open in each.
  2. Layout proof.

Our Kit Layout Designer draws men's and women's cuts separately. Your team lead returns one combined set of comments per round and signs the final version.
  3. Ordering window.

Our Order Desk opens the roster link. Each rider enters a name, number, cut, fit, sizes, chest and waist, and ticks "measured over protection" if they race with protection under the jersey. Women'sClub fitMeasured over protection
  4. Size check.

Before the close, every line is checked against the size chart for its cut, and flagged lines go to your team lead.
  5. Roster lock.

Your team lead and the Order Desk sign the locked roster together.
  6. Production and packing.

Each window is produced together and packed rider by rider.
  7. Riders who join later.

They register on a waitlist through the roster link and go into your next window.
  8. Season close.

Your team file takes the signed proof and every locked roster, measurements and protection ticks included.

Mountain Bike Club Jersey Orders Set Before the Club Season

A mountain bike club runs its kit through a kit secretary, and the club's ride calendar sets the dates. The kit secretary decides which cuts and fits the club opens.

A mountain bike club's kit secretary handing labelled kit bags to members at the trail centre before a club ride

What comes in from the club

: colourway and crest, sponsor logos as vector files, the member list, the first club ride the kit must arrive before, and the cuts and fits the committee wants to offer.

The club's season runs like this:

  1. Proof.

The PDF goes to your committee and sponsors through you, and you sign the final version. Proof rounds are set out on our cycling club kit supplier page.
  2. Window.

A pre-season main window, worked back from your first club ride. Members pick a cut and fit from what the club opened and enter sizes and measurements.
  3. Numbers.

Your number rules sit on the proof. Social members can ride with the number cell left empty and no number printed, on the same roster.
  4. Lock.

You and the Order Desk sign on the date in the plan.
The club locks its jerseys once a season. Where the club wants jackets, gilets or warmers for colder months, the plan can add an autumn window for those outer layers, ordered by the whole club, with its own locked roster, production run and packing list.
Members who join after the pre-season lock register on the waitlist. Their mountain bike club jersey is ordered in next season's main window with the rest of the club.
When the committee changes at the AGM, the new kit secretary takes a copy of the team file and carries on, with no sizes collected again.

The season ends with a labelled bag per member before the first club ride, and the waitlist ready for next season.

XC Race Teams Ordering Around the Race Calendar

An XC race team's dates come from its race calendar, and its roster and sponsor list move through the season. The team manager runs the kit.

The team manager brings a ranked sponsor list with vector logos, the riders under contract, the opening race date, and the cuts and fits to offer. Race fit is the usual choice for racing teams, and riders who want club fit order it on the same roster, from the same signed proof.
Every lock date is worked back from a race, the first from your first race. Where the team needs one, a whole-team window sits in the mid-season break. Lock dates, signing deadlines and mid-season sponsor versions are set out on our racing team cycling kits page.
An XC team manager with a blank roster sheet talking to two riders, one pulling her team jersey over body protection

Custom team MTB jerseys for an XC squad carry riders who race with protection and riders who do not on the same roster. Each rider settles it on their own line:

  • Riders who race in protection measure chest and waist wearing it, and tick "measured over protection".
  • Riders who race without it measure as normal and leave the tick empty.
  • Both enter sizes from the same chart under the same rule, by chest.

At the size check, a flagged line shows the tick, so your team manager knows how the rider measured before talking to them.

Riders signed after the pre-season lock register on the waitlist and go into your mid-season window, or next season's window if your team runs one. Kit already issued stays in use.

The season ends with one or two locked rosters in the team file, each line showing the rider's cut, fit, sizes, measurements, protection tick and the proof version it was printed from.

School and College MTB Teams Sized Again Each League Season

A school or college MTB team is led by a coach or teacher, who signs the layout proof and the locked roster. Its window is set from the league.

What comes in from the team

: school colours and crest, last season's locked roster from your team file (a new team starts without one), the returning riders, this year's new riders, and the date of the league's first race.
Your Programme Coordinator works the lock date back from that first race, as for a race team, and new riders' first sizes are collected inside that window.
  • A college mountain bike team seen from behind around their bikes while the coach checks the roster on a tablet
New riders measure for the first time against the body-measurement chart and enter a cut, fit, sizes and measurements, with the protection tick if they race in it.
  • College riders at a campus table collecting kit and giving their measurements at the start of the year
Returning riders see last season's locked chest and waist and last season's tick on their line, measure again, and enter this season's figures.
  • The Order Desk checks every line against the chart for its cut before the close.

Flagged lines go on a pending list to your coach.

On a school team's list each line shows the rider, the reason, this season's measurements, the range of the size entered, and last season's locked measurements, so a rider who has grown a size shows at once.

Your coach settles each line with the rider.

40riders
14new faces each year
3academic years

A university team of about 40 riders takes on around 14 new faces each year. At every intake the joiners give their measurements for the first time, while those coming back work from their own line in last year's file. Its colourway has stayed on record in the same team file for 3 academic years.

Mountain bike team clothing beyond the jersey, a gilet or jacket in school colours, runs on the same roster and signed proof. When a coach or teacher hands the team over, the new lead takes a copy of the team file with every rider's locked measurements in it.

By the first league race, every rider's line holds this year's figures and tick, and the previous year's roster sits behind it in the file.

One Rider Joining Mid-Season, Followed Through Three Teams

Take one rider who joins after the season's roster has locked. The first steps are the same in every team.

You forward the roster link. The rider registers on the waitlist with a name, number, sizes, chest and waist, and the protection tick if they race in it. The Order Desk holds the entry and checks the number against your whole roster when the next window opens. There the rider picks a cut and fit from the options open in that window, and the line goes through the same size check as everyone's.

What differs is which window prints the rider's jersey:

A new member at the clubhouse being handed the club's roster
An XC race team rider in a team jersey with rear pockets getting ready beside his bike in the team area
A school mountain bike team seen from behind riding out together along a woodland trail
  • Mountain bike club.

Next season's pre-season main window. If the club runs an autumn window, the new member can take the outer layers ordered there with the rest of the club.
  • XC race team.

The mid-season whole-team window, set back from the first race after the break; a team with one window carries the rider into next season's.
  • School or college team.

The next league season's window, sized as a new rider, and from the season after as a returning rider with their first locked measurements on the line.

In every team the waitlist keeps the entry until the whole team orders, and the jersey prints from the same signed proof as the rest.

Send your season dates and how riders join through the year, and the ordering plan shows which window each new rider reaches.

Short and Long Sleeve, Club and Race Fit on One Roster

Mountain bike team jerseys for a mixed squad are ordered in one window, from one signed proof, on one locked roster, with each rider's cut and fit on their own line.

What you decide.

In your ordering plan you set which cuts and fits are open in this window: men's and women's, short and long sleeve, club fit and race fit. You can open all of them, or only some, for example short sleeve only, or club fit only.

What the proof shows.

Our Kit Layout Designer draws men's and women's cuts separately. Long-sleeve jerseys use the same named zones as short sleeve, with the sleeve panel the same distance from the shoulder seam. Each logo prints at one size on every cut from XS to 3XL, set by what fits the XS, so every rider carries the same size of sponsor logo, short sleeve or long, men's or women's. Club fit and race fit print from the same signed proof.

What the sizes follow.

Both fits use one chart and one size label, so a rider moving from club fit to race fit keeps the same size. The cut on the line tells the Order Desk which chart, men's or women's, to check against.

What gets locked.

Each rider's line carries their choices from the roster link, plus the protection tick, under your signature and the Order Desk's.

What gets printed.

Names and numbers are generated from the locked roster line by line and printed in the same sublimation run as the rest of the team's kit. Each printed panel matches one roster line, so the cut, fit and size on a rider's line are the jersey in that rider's bag.

What you receive is a signed proof showing every cut you opened with each logo's printed width marked, and a locked roster you can read line by line for cut and fit. To check, take any rider's bag, read the jersey's size label, cut and name, and compare them with that rider's line.

One Jersey, Six Pieces and Four Signed Documents

Every MTB team gets the same team jersey as the rest of our programme. Your team picks its build options once, when the layout proof is drawn:

Men's and women's cuts in short and long sleeve hanging side by side from one layout
  • Full or half-length zip.
  • Three rear pockets, or three plus a zipped pocket.
  • Low or standard collar.
  • Raw-edge or hemmed short sleeves, elastic-cuff long sleeves.
  • A silicone gripper or dotted elastic hem that can carry your team name.
  • Reflective print or strip at the pocket opening, hem or cuffs.

Print zones and logo sizes are on our custom team cycling jerseys page.

Around the jersey sit five more pieces in your colourway, gilet, jacket, warmers, cap and socks, each orderable for part of the squad, with the plan naming which riders get which piece. The six worn together are shown on our team cycling kit sets page.

Before bagging, our Packing Lead checks each jersey on five points against the rider's roster line and the signed proof, ticks that rider's line on the packing list, and signs it.

Your team lead holds four documents for the season:

  1. The signed layout proof.
  2. The locked roster with names, sizes and numbers.
  3. The per-rider packing list.
  4. Your team file record.
  5. 5The team file stays on record for 5 years after your last order, a copy is yours whenever your lead asks, and every change is saved as a new dated version with older ones kept.

Riders Measured Over Their Race Protection

A rider who races with protection under the jersey measures wearing that protection. The size is then chosen by the same rule as every other rider's, and every check runs as normal.

A teammate measuring a rider's chest with a soft tape over her race protection before she enters her figures
  1. On the roster link.

For MTB teams each rider's line carries one more box, "measured over protection", with a note beside it: if you race with protection under your jersey, wear it while you measure. The rider puts on their own race protection, measures chest and waist, ticks the box and enters the figures.
  2. Choosing the size.

The rider takes the size their chest falls in on the chart for their cut, and a chest exactly on the shared limit of two sizes takes the larger. The rule is the same in club fit and race fit. The measurement already includes the protection, so no size-up step is added on top.
  3. At the size check.

The line is checked like any other, and if it is flagged, the pending list states that the rider measured over protection.
  4. Closing a flagged line.

Your team lead checks with the rider, who changes the size, or keeps it on your lead's confirmation, noted on the locked roster as "kept on team lead's confirmation". A line still open at the close is decided by your lead at lock: locked at the size entered, or left out of this window. Nothing flagged goes into the lock unless your lead has decided it.
  5. When the kit arrives.

If a rider's jersey does not fit, your lead sends photos, the rider's name and the size label. We reply within 24 hours on working days, with reference to that rider's locked line:
    • Label different from the locked size: we remake the piece and send it with our nearest production run, at no charge.
    • Label matching the locked size, on a line that passed the check or carries your lead's confirmation: a different size goes into your next window as a normal order.

The full outcome table is on our club fit cycling jersey sizing page.

  6. Next season.

Returning riders see last season's measurements and tick. A rider who no longer races in protection measures again and clears the tick; one who changes nothing is checked against last season's measurements and tick.

Your lead ends with every protection rider marked on the locked roster and in the team file.

Programme Edges for MTB Teams: Jersey, Fits, Sizes, Range

The programme for MTB teams stops at five points. Each follows from how the programme is built, and each comes with our answer.

  • One team jersey.

Four cuts, two fits, rear pockets in both pocket options. Our answer for a looser jersey is club fit, in short or long sleeve. Pattern and fit engineering is covered at procyclingapparel.com.
  • Sizes start at XS.

Every rider, school riders included, is measured against the same men's or women's chart, XS to 3XL, on separate men's and women's patterns. Our answer is the size check, with flagged lines and last season's measurements sent to your coach or team lead.
  • One sizing rule.

Sizes follow the chest on one chart for both fits, and protection is handled by how the rider measures. Our answer is the protection tick, carried onto the pending list and the locked roster.
  • Options you open.

Riders choose only among the cuts and fits open in that window. Our answer is the ordering plan, where you set the open options for each window.
  • Upper-body kit.

The programme covers the jersey and the five pieces worn with it.Bibs and chamois-bearing garments are developed and sampled to your reference specification through procyclingapparel.com, on their own schedule.
  • The Order Desk checking each roster line against the size chart before the close

We never contact riders or sponsors directly. Riders enter through the roster link, sponsors comment through you, and the whole team ships to one address.
