Four Jersey Cuts on One Layout: Men's and Women's, Short and Long Sleeve
Our custom cycling team jerseys come in four cuts: men's short sleeve, men's long sleeve, women's short sleeve and women's long sleeve. Men's and women's jerseys are made on separate men's and women's patterns, so the women on your team wear a jersey made on a women's pattern.
Your crest, colourway, sponsor zones, names and numbers appear on each cut in the same places, so a rider in a women's long sleeve and a rider in a men's short sleeve ride side by side in one kit.
One proofAll four cuts are printed from the same signed layout proof.
- Season jersey
Men's short sleeve
The main season jersey for the men on your team, and the cut the rest of the layout is drawn alongside.
- Women's pattern
Women's short sleeve
The same season jersey on a women's pattern, with the same zones and logo sizes as the men's.
- Cool rides
Men's and women's long sleeve
For early-season, late-season and cool-morning rides, carrying the same zones as the short sleeve, with the sleeve zone at the same distance from the shoulder seam.
- Same window
Two cuts per rider
A rider can order a short sleeve and a long sleeve in the same ordering window and take a different size in each.
Every rider on your team, at every point of the season, wears the same team jersey.
Your team can order all four cuts in one window. A corporate riding group with men and women on the same programme orders both pattern sets on one roster, under one signed proof.
Sizes XS to 3XL, With Club Fit and Race Fit From the Same Proof
Each of the four cuts runs from XS to 3XL, on its own men's or women's pattern. Each rider picks their own size in each cut, and any mix of sizes goes on one order, so your team does not need to group riders by size.
Club fit
A relaxed fit for long rides and everyday club riding.
Race fit
A close fit for racing and fast group rides.
Both fits print from the same signed layout proof. A team running club fit for its weekend rides and race fit for its racing squad keeps one look across both.
What you can send your riders when the ordering window opens
- 1
Pick your cut
Men's or women's, short or long sleeve.
- 2
Pick your fit
Club fit or race fit.
- 3
Pick your size
From XS to 3XL, for each jersey you order.
How to measure and choose between the two fits is set out on our club fit cycling jersey sizing page.
How each rider's size is collected and locked is on our team kit ordering process page.
Jersey Build Options: Zip, Pockets, Collar, Sleeve Ends, Hem and Reflectives
Your team chooses its build options when the layout proof is drawn. Each option has a short list of choices.
Front zip
- Full-length zip
- Half-length zip
Rear pockets
- Three rear pockets
- Three rear pockets plus one zipped pocket
Collar
- Low collar
- Standard collar
Short-sleeve ends
- Laser-cut raw edge
- Hemmed cuff
Long-sleeve ends
- Elastic cuff
Rear hem
- Silicone gripper band
- Printed elastic band with silicone dots
Either can carry your team name or a sponsor's wording in the silicone.
Reflectives
- Reflective print
- Reflective strip
At the rear pocket opening, the rear hem or the sleeve cuffs.
The zip, the pockets and the hem set where the zip line, the pocket line and the gripper sit on the jersey. Those are the reference points your layout is drawn to, so the proof shows your logos against the options your team has chosen.
Print Zones on a Team Jersey and Three No-Print Rules
These are the places on the jersey that take print. Point at a zone in the list to find it on the jersey.
- No-print rule 1
Zip teeth
The zip teeth carry no print. A logo across the chest is printed on the fabric on both sides of the zip.
- No-print rule 2
Pocket fold
No logo element crosses the fold at the top of the rear pockets.
- No-print rule 3
Side and sleeve seams
Sponsor logos and wording stay off the side seams and sleeve seams. Only base colour and colour bands run across a seam.
Your proof shows every zone your team uses with its logo in place, on the men's and women's jerseys. Which sponsor takes which zone, and how teams divide zones between several sponsors, is covered on our sponsor logo placement page.
With the zones and rules written down before artwork is sent, you can tell each sponsor where their logo will go and how wide it will print.
One Logo Size From XS to 3XL on Every Cut
The Kit Layout Designer draws your layout once and carries it onto every cut and size by fixed reference points on the jersey: the zip line, the shoulder seams, the collar and the pocket line. A chest logo sits in the same place against the zip and collar on an XS and on a 3XL.
| Zone | Rule | Width |
|---|---|---|
| Main sponsor zones, front chest and upper back | At least | 10 cm |
| Secondary sponsor zones | At least | 4 cm |
| Largest logo across the front zip | Set by the XS | 24 cm |
| Largest logo on the upper back | Set by the XS | 30 cm |
| Largest logo on an upper-arm sleeve panel | Set by the XS | 8 cm |
Your main sponsor is the same width on your smallest rider as on your largest.
Women's jerseys and long-sleeve jerseys use the same named zones and the same logo sizes. The proof draws the men's and women's jerseys separately, so you and your sponsors see every logo on both patterns before your team manager signs.
Every logo is the same size on every jersey in your team. A sponsor sees the same logo on every rider in a group photo, from your smallest rider to your largest, and this rule applies to every team and every order.
Logo Widths on Your Signed Proof, Checked Again When the Kit Arrives
- 1
On your proof
Each logo's printed width is written on your proof, inside these limits. You can check your sponsor files against them before you send anything.
- 2
Before your sponsors approve
Your sponsors can see their exact width before they approve.
For a corporate riding group, your company logo goes into the main zones under the same size rules, and the proof can go to your marketing or brand team for approval alongside your organiser's signature.
- 3
When the kit arrives
Measure the same logo on your smallest and largest jersey. Both match the width on your signed proof.
A logo at any other width differs from the signed proof, and we remake that jersey under our issue rules.
Send Your Logos for a Zone Check
Send your crest and sponsor logos as vector files, with the zone you want for each. The Kit Layout Designer checks every file against its zone before drawing your proof, and you hear back from your Programme Coordinator within 24 hours on working days.
Front-Zip and Seam Alignment: Chest Logos Read as One Logo With the Zip Closed
A logo across the front zip is printed onto two separate pieces of fabric. We print it as one artwork, split at the zip line, so the left and right halves come from the same file at the same size.
Zip closed: the two halves read as one logo.Zip open: each half is printed on the fabric beside the zip.
Split on the zip line
Both halves are placed from the zip line and the collar, the same reference points used for every cut and size. The split falls on the zip line itself, and each half is printed on the fabric beside the zip.
Checked with the zip closed
Our standard for every chest logo across the zip: with the zip closed, the left and right halves read as one logo. The Packing Lead checks this on every jersey, zip closed, before it is bagged. A jersey that fails is pulled and reprinted before it is packed.
If a delivered logo does not line up
Your team manager sends us a photo. We reply within 24 hours on working days and treat it as a difference from the signed proof.
We remake the jersey with our nearest production run, at no charge.
Back, sides and sleeves
On the back, the pocket line is the lower edge of the upper-back zone. Logos sit above the pocket fold or on the pocket faces below it, so no letter is split by the pocket opening.
On the sides and sleeves, base colour and colour bands run across the seams, so your colourway continues around the jersey. Sponsor logos and wording sit inside a single panel, so no sponsor name is broken at a seam on any size.
You can check all of this on any jersey in seconds. Your sponsors can do the same at your kit launch.
- 1
Close the zip and read the chest logo.
- 2
Look along the pocket fold.
- 3
Follow each sponsor name to its panel edge.
Rider Names and Numbers on the Jersey: Up to 12 Characters and 3 Digits
Characters for each rider's name, in Latin letters, including spaces.
Digits for rider numbers, on the upper back or an upper-arm sleeve panel.
The font, colour and letter height are set on your signed proof. The 12-character limit is set so the longest name fits the upper back of an XS at that letter height, and every rider's name prints at the same height.
Your team chooses one position for names across the whole team
Upper back, below the collar
Names · numbersRear pocket face
NamesUpper-arm sleeve panel
Names · numbers
Rider numbers run up to 3 digits, on the upper back or an upper-arm sleeve panel. The number range and rules for your team are on your proof, and the Order Desk checks every rider's number against them during the ordering window.
What you can send your riders
- Enter your name as you want it printed, up to 12 characters including spaces.
- A name longer than 12 characters is entered in a shorter form, such as a first initial and surname.
- Pick a free number within your team's range.
For a college team, new riders each year add their names under the same font rule, and returning riders keep the names and numbers already on last year's locked roster.
College intake is covered on our school and college cycling team kits page.
Decoration and Fabric: Sublimation, Reflective Print, Silicone Grip and Nylon-Spandex Blends
Full sublimation prints your base colourway, crest, sponsor logos, names and numbers into the jersey fabric. Every element of the design is printed in the same process, so colours and logos on every jersey in your order come from the same run.
Full sublimation
Base colourway, crest, sponsor logos, names and numbers, in one run.
Reflective print or strips
At the positions your team chooses: the rear pocket opening, the rear hem or the sleeve cuffs.
Silicone grip
On the rear hem, as a full gripper band or as dots on a printed elastic band, with your team name or a sponsor's wording if you want it.
Heat transfer and computer embroidery are used on other pieces of your kit, such as an embroidered crest on the cap. The sponsor layout on your jersey is these same decoration methods applied to your team's identity.
Jersey fabric
Team jerseys are made in nylon-spandex in one of three blends: 88/12, 90/10 or 91/9.
The jersey fabrics carry OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification.
Names and Numbers From Your Locked Roster
Rider names and numbers are printed straight from your locked roster. Each line on the roster becomes that rider's name and number print, produced in the same sublimation run as the rest of your team's jerseys, so every printed name traces back to one line your team manager signed.
- Cut
- Women's short sleeve
- Size
- As entered
- Name
- Up to 12 characters
- Number
- Up to 3 digits
That rider's name and number, printed on the jersey in the same run as the rest of your team.
Nothing is typed again between the roster and the print. The number on the jersey is the number the Order Desk checked against your range.
The spelling your rider entered and your team manager signed is the spelling on the jersey.
5 Checks on Every Jersey Before Bagging
At the packing bench, the Packing Lead checks every jersey on 5 points before it goes into a rider's bag. Each line on the rider-by-rider packing list carries the 5 checks, ticked for that rider's jerseys, and the Packing Lead signs the list.
- Cut and size label match that rider's line on the locked roster.
- Name and number match the roster.
- Every named zone carries its logo, in the position and at the size on the signed proof.
- With the zip closed, the chest logo across the zip lines up.
- Zip, pockets and gripper all work.
A jersey that fails any point is pulled and reprinted before it is bagged.
If a reprint would move your team's ship date, your Programme Coordinator sends your team manager the new date in writing, at the point the change is known.
It is the same packing list that ships with your team's kit.
Open any bag and you can check it with three things
- The locked roster you signed
- The signed packing list
- The jersey itself
The name and size on the bag label, the name, number and size label on the jersey, and the rider's line on the roster all match.
When a rider asks about their jersey, your team manager answers from the packing list line: which jersey, which size, which checks, and who signed.
A jersey that differs from the signed proof or locked roster is remade under our issue rules. A rider who entered the wrong size goes into your next ordering window.
